Small Bee Honey

Small Bee Honey is raw honey from the tiny wild honey bee, Apis florea, known as choti makhi. These bees make small hives on shrubs and low branches, so each harvest is small.

What does small bee honey taste like?

It is light golden with a mild, floral taste. Many families prefer it for children and for everyday use because it is gentler than giant bee honey.

Is it raw?

Yes. It is strained and bottled without heating, and nothing is added: no sugar syrup, glucose or colour.

Why is it priced higher than giant bee honey?

Small bee hives hold far less honey, so collecting the same amount takes much more work.
